Mardi Gras Baby!

Or should I say Mardi Gras baby shower! My incredible staff (aka Party Team) hosted a baby shower for Jason and me (and baby boy Jones) on Fat Tuesday. This was such a fun theme to celebrate a third child! And since the plan to go to New Orleans for my birthday in June has been delayed due to the baby arriving in May, they brought some NOLA fun to me.

 We played the "clothespin game" with Mardi Gras beads ( I lost most of mine), the Price is Right (which we were the real winners as we got to keep all the items for the baby) and of course....a Mardi Gras quiz...we do after all run the testing center.

Truly a highlight was the cakes!

Both of them.

A double chocolate cake and of course a King's Cake, baked by Traci, with baby baked in side.  I thought it was funny that we discovered it by cutting in to the cake, since this baby will be arriving via c- section. No babies were harmed.

We received so many thoughtful things for the baby and even the big brothers got some fun surprises. Jason and I have such an amazing group of coworkers among the faculty and staff at NU!
