Dedicating Peter

On Sunday October 14, 2012 we dedicated Peter at Highlands Community Church, Kent Campus.

Letter that we read:

Dear Peter-

Today is your Baby Dedication.  

We are so grateful to God for you and to the addition to our family.  Watching you grow over the last almost 6 months has been a great witness to us and your brothers of how great God is and how special his creations are.  

Today we commit as a family to teach you about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His love for us and his plan for salvation.  We will teach you about Gods word and commit to helping you find answers to your questions.

The verse we have chosen for you is:

Jeremiah 17:7-10 NLT:

  

But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
 

It is our desire that as you learn and grow that you will be confident in your own decision to follow Jesus Christ and his plan for your life.

We have chosen to raise you in a community of believers that will pray for you, teach you and support you.  We also know you will teach us as a son and a brother about God’s love.

We ask that God will help us as parents.
