Last Saturday we attended the wedding of one of Amy's good friends from college. Amy and Keri have been through many seasons of life since Alpha Hall...and we were excited to celebrate this new adventure with Keri and her husband Randy. The wedding was in Arlington at "A Country Location", which was a beautiful venue. Combine that with Keri's attention to detail and planning (she coordinated our wedding), the result was wonderful!
The Barn...
The ceremony overlooking the pond.
Watching the ceremony...
Announcing the newly married couple!
The guests showered them with rose petals...
The String Quartet, made up of High School students from the Issaquah School district. Keri teaches English at Issaquah High School...
This was a picture that was taken at a really cool moment that happened right after the ceremony. I took Gus over to see the instruments and the students each showed them how their instrument was played. Then one plucked out Mary had a Little Lamb. I jokingly said, do you know Twinkle, Twinkle (Gus's favorite) and they all chimed in on a concert just for him of Twinkle Twinkle! He got it in surround sound and was ecstatic
Headed out on the point overlooking the pond.
The windmill...
I love this picture...(Jason is trying to smile, the sun was in his eyes.)
Gus shaking the tent...I would not put it past him to rip out the stakes...
Some of the setting of the reception...
There were quotes on each table (English teacher:), festive chalkboards, and jam.
Yummy strawberry jam, blackberry jam and apple butter for favors...
And a Candy "bar"...
Jonah REALLY liked the candy bar...
So did Gus...
Inside the Barn, taken from the loft.
They had childcare/ children's activities in the loft....
and personalized gift bags for each child.
Including an very special coloring/ activity book and crayons.
Jonah watching the action from the loft...
The first dance...
From the outside balcony of the Barn...
They had croquet, horseshoes, a putting green and some row boats.
Gus, running out on the dock ...
(without a life jacket, which was a no-no)
More of the beautiful grounds...Jason under and arbor.
The wedding was beautiful, despite a few sprinkles. The day was topped off by a vibrant rainbow that stretched over downtown Seattle on our way home. Congratulations Keri and Randy!
